Pete Sampras Selling Newly Built Home for $25M

Retired tennis pro Pete Sampras and his wife, actress Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, just listed their brand new compound in California's Lake Sherwood area for $25 million. Maybe they're in on the new downsizing trend: They couple and their son have apparently moved into the smaller 6-bedroom Brentwood home they purchased for $5.6 million in December.

The 13,000-square-foot Lake Sherwood home, below, sits on 20 acres in a "guard gated" community, and has a 1,200-square-foot guesthouse and a 2,000-square-foot detached gym, reported the LA Times.

The home, as seen on RealEstate.com, has 7 bedrooms and 12 baths. It is listed by Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson and is located at 390 W. Stafford Road.

There is a theater room, game room combo with a separate poker room. And of course there is the requisite tennis court.

Sampras sold a Beverly Hills 5-bedroom home in 2008 for $17 million to Will & Grace creator Max Mutchnick after an original asking price of $25 million. That's a lot of moving around.

Other tennis stars are also selling their homes, reported Tennis.com. Andy Roddick's 4-bedroom home in Austin, TX is listed for $4 million and Jennifer Capriati's house in Wesley Chapel, Florida is at $2.1 million.
