Sweet San Francisco Rental: Be The King of Knob Hill for $1,800

Knob HIll is where I lived when I first moved to San Francisco. And that's exactly where this sweet rental is located. What I liked about the locale was it enabled me to be within walking distance to both Chinatown and the funky bars and cafes that run up and down Polk Street. This Knob Hill apartment seems like a really good price for a two-bedroom on the hill.

This spacious apartment is on the first floor of a secure, gated three-story building.

Nob HIll is very chilled out neighborhood. It doesn't have the sometimes snootiness of Pacific Heights or the gritty street life of the Tenderloin.

The bedrooms are located in the back of the flat. But even so, this apartment might be noisy. The historic San Francisco Cable Car runs right on the same block, so if you're super sensitive to noise, or don't want to feel like you're lving in a 24/7 Rice A-Roni commercial. then this might not be the place for you. If you can handle a few bells now and then, you get a wonderful place with hardwood floors, a spacious living room, office, delightful kitchen extra pantry, two bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms.

One buzzkill: There's no parking available. I lived in this area and street parking can sometimes be a nightmare. If you don't have a car, or don't mind circling the block numerous times for parking, then this might be the place for you.
