in three California states in February according to numbers released this week. Los Angeles is one of them. We'll take what we can get.
A Broad Scam?
on the City of Los Angeles in secret talks to rent the space next to Disney Hall downtown (aka primo real estate
) to Eli Broad (of museum and being really, really rich fame) for....$1 a year. The 80,000 square foot space is owned by taxpayers, however none have been able to weigh in. Oddly enough, the committee for this hasn't held public meetings since talks began last year. Shady.
Can Someone Call a Sheik?!
You knew it had to happen: Nic Cage's home
is back on the market. Could someone please buy this house and put him out of his misery? It was listed as high as $35M, now it's $12.75. That's a bargain.
Diane Keaton Puts Latest Home On Market for Loss
An avid preservationist, Keaton knows real estate and has redone many L.A. homes, restoring splendor and making a profit. However, her latest
was purchased for $9.1M and is listed at $8.5M. The listing mentions the new landscaping
, huge main house and a sycamore tree. That's gotta be some sycamore.
Greene and Greene Home Sold
Los Angeles has some great old old homes, and this 1920 Greene and Greene
property was listed after 25 years. The more than 6,800 square foot house sold for $1.7 million to an organization that designs schools. Good to sit in an inspiring setting, I always say.
