Constructed in 1924, this four-bedroom, five-bathroom house has amazing views, lots of indoor and outdoor space, and um, yeah, it looks like a museum. The views from this Los Feliz-area house extend from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific. Why have art on the walls, when the walls can be art?

The home is perched high above artsy Los Feliz and is nestled on a beautiful winding road among nature -- fitting for one of Wright's organic designs. The entire home oozes his aesthetic, including the exterior, garden area and entrance. With more than 6,000 square feet of indoor space, this home has amazing features, but it's not exactly move-in ready.
The house had been operating as a small nonprofit, but costs have made it necessary to sell. Some renovations are needed (is Diane Keaton looking for a new project?) to bring the home back to its original luster, but it will be well worth it. How often can you own a national treasure?
Visible from Vermont Avenue looking north, when inside you can marvel for hours at the details in each room: The design of the formal dining room; its huge windows and vistas of Los Angeles below; the way the pool is set next to the home.
The home holds one of the only four art-glass mosiacs (above the fireplace) that Wright designed. The multi-tiered house has soaring wood beamed ceilings, elegant hallways and light-filled rooms flowing from one to another. A window-lined loggia frames the pool.
The street, while on a winding road -- it's in the hills, after all -- is wide and offers parking (hey, these are practical things) and is near Griffith Park and its Greek Theatre. You can go for great walks in the hills, or head down to Vermont Avenue to eat at Fred 62 or The Dresden. You have no shortage of great things to do in Los Feliz and you will enjoy the best views from the house.
As a home that is in the National Register of Historic Places, its owner will have to keep the house to certain standards, but anyone that buys it would surely want to preserve its special place in U.S. art and architecture. And just think of the great parties you could throw.
