Home Prices Rise for 4th Month in a Row, but Can It Last?
Not many Americans are feeling it yet, but we may be in the midst of a housing recovery. National home prices increased in May by 2.9 percent
, as compared to May 2009, according to real estate information firm CoreLogic
, making it the fourth straight month they have done so. But don't celebrate just yet; many experts believe we still are experiencing a bump due to the spring's federal homebuyer tax credit.
And prices are still 28.5 percent below their April 2006 peak.
