'Million Dollar's' Chad Rogers Buys 1st Home, in Cash

Realtor Chad Rogers, one of the stars of Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing," has just purchased his first home -- for less than $1 million. What did he buy? A two-bedroom condo in the same Beverly Hills building where singer Josh Groban reportedly lives.

Purchase price: $850,000 -- paid in cash. So how come he didn't buy something more, um, expensive?

The 33-year-old Rogers, who grew up in the famed Malibu Colony in a home where his parents still live, says that he has had his eye on this unit from back when it was listed at $1.3 million. It's in the heart of Beverly Hills, near the Hilton & Hyland Real Estate office that he works from. It's also just a block away from the Four Seasons Hotel and has 24-hour security, something that's important to him, Rogers said.

The Search Homes for Sale Browse through photos of millions of home listings or search foreclosure listings building's HOA also apparently approved of his Chihuahua Starla's residency. Starla played a prominent role in the show's third season last year and has developed her own fan base. She has her own Facebook fan page and more than 2,000 Twitter followers.

The two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Mediterranean-style condo is on the southeast corner and faces the street. There is a double-door entry in the 34-unit building and Rogers' new home has hardwood floors and a fireplace in the living room. The 1,700-square-foot unit has a terrace and a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances.

Rogers, an admitted "neat freak" who gets $600 haircuts and carries Starla with him everywhere, scoffs at those who would have expected him to buy in a higher price range.

The purchase price, he says, is a testament to his negotiation powers and his keen knowledge of the market. "I know a deal when I can make one," Rogers says.

Rogers regularly represents homes in Malibu Colony and Beverly Hills. His listings range from $100,000-a-month leases to $60-million homes. His celebrity-clientele base includes Paris Hilton, Minnie Driver, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Hollywood studio heads.

June Ahn of Coldwell Banker had the listing. Rogers represented himself as the buyer.

I think that the two homosexual real estate agents were jealous of Chad. From what I could see they tried to get him to argue or act unprofessionally and failed.
I like Madison, the other one, Josh, seems to have very flexible morals and ethics.

Chad? I knew it was you! Your narcissism forced you to respond (sucker)and I can also tell it's you by your effeminate mannerisms and poorly constructed sentences. Not only do you speak like a child's robot, you also type like one. I know you're deeply rooted insecurity compels you to respond when people are expressing their theories as to your "sexuality" but you must forgive this query, you and your "girlfriend" look identical, both wear girls pants but both look like ten year old boys, okay 12 year old boys. Oh, and she/he can't seem to stand to look at you. Roll the footage!

Its always interesting to see how the public preceives a Realtor who is successful. People will spend what they will and for the fools that dont like the idea of buying a condo for $850k... well they probably live outside of the metropolitan areas of the U.S.. Sounds like Chad got a smoking deal... Location location location... the number one rule in real estate.

I watch the show and Chad isnt my favorite on the show... but he has the connections and network to make a solid living. If he wants to spend a ton of cash on a haircut... its his money. Good for him.
