The estate of Heidi Montag
's plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, who died in a car accident
in August, just came on the market at $1.4 million. While initial reports blamed the 50-year-old Ryan's death on texting while driving, the California Highway Patrol said this week that the accident was actually caused by an unsafe turning movement
Ryan was driving with his dog, Jill, at the time, who survived the crash. The car flipped and overturned off the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu and Ryan was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ryan, plastic surgeon to celebrities, once performed 10 procedures in a single day on "The Hills"
star Montag (pictured at left), an act that catapulted him into the national media for so dramatically altering the reality show star's appearance.
He is also less known for his charitable work, which included removing tattoos from former gang members.
Ryan is survived by his mother. His estate now listed for sale is a Malibu view property known as the Bony Pony Ranch. The three-bedroom, two-bath, one-story home was built in 1993 and sits on 12.6 acres. There is a main ranch-style home plus a guest house, a six-stall barn, a corral and pastures for horses. The main house has a covered patio, wood and tile floors, and a river rock fireplace in the living room. The guest house adds two bedrooms and a bath and also has a fireplace and covered patio.
Steve Tipp of Ewing & Associates, Sotheby's International Realty in Calabasas, is the listing agent.
