Up the Movie House Is Now Real! (See Video)

up the movieUp the movie, the 2009 Pixar computer-animated fantasy that won two Academy Awards, has inspired a real-life version of the helium balloon-propelled house piloted by Carl Fredricksen, the cranky old main character voiced by Ed Asner. The nutty folks at National Geographic constructed the house for a new TV series called How Hard Can It Be? The real-life house is not a complete house -- it's only 16-by-16 feet. But it really flies, thanks to 300 weather balloons filled with helium. The completed structure, including balloons, was 10 stories high and soared up to 10,000 feet for about one hour.
