Jason Statham is planning a move, lock, stock and two smoking barrels. The actor who was featured in the movie by that name has listed his Los Angeles home at $2,749,000. Public records show he paid $2.4 million for the property in June 2005.
The British-born Statham was an Olympic diver before he became a French Connection model and then subsequently an actor; he finished 12th in the World Championships in 1992 and dove on the British Olympic team.
In addition to "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," he has also starred in "Snatch" and played the lead role of Frank Martin in "The Transporter" series -- a role in which he did nearly all his own stunts including the car chases, scuba scenes and fight sequences. He is trained in the martial arts.
The three-bedroom house he is selling is reminiscent of the famed Philip Johnson Glass House with its post-and-beam motif. Outdoor and indoor blend seamlessly and there is lots of natural light from the many floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Jay Griffith designed the landscaping. There is a pool.
Statham is believed to also own a Malibu Colony oceanfront house, purchased in June 2009 for an undisclosed amount.
The Hollywood Hills property is listed by Peter Lorimer Group Estates, Prudential California Realty.
