Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea Lists Malibu Home

Red Hot Chili Peppers' bass guitarist Flea -- whose real name is Michael Balzary -- has listed a Malibu architectural home for $4,795,000. The two-story home has ocean and canyon views and beach access.

Flea recently ran in the L.A. Marathon to raise money for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a nonprofit organization he co-founded in 2001 to teach music education. He was one of the founders of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and composed much of their material.

The house he is selling has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, high dramatic ceilings and cement floors. There is a free-form pool and outdoor fireplace.

Irene Dazzan-Palmer and Sandro Dazzan share the listing. Both are with Coldwell Banker, Malibu Colony.

I saw an article on Flea's house that said a lot of people who've been through it have complained of the odor, comparing it to a strong cheese.

Only 3 bedrooms? Well, I gotta tell you, I don't think it will work for me. Honey, you can stop packing.

Most cannot afford these homes in Malibu (affordability of LA county residence is 5-8% of the general population). Unless you have means to getting the funds that is required to buy these luxury homes, you are probably not the potential suiters for these exclusive properties. With years of dealing with the people who can afford these places, it is very exclusive clientile base or otherwise people are just wasting your time--Believe me, I have met so many. Unless you have the money and ready for the market (there are some great bargains out there). Most of the are CASH BUYERS..especially TRUE with HIGH END REAL ESTATES!!. Like most of the saying..If you got to ask how much, you cannot afford it.

The money for a rocker is even twice as nice if he's a writer. To all you wannabe musicians out there: publishing, publishing, publishing is where the money is.
