Add Another One to Mayor Mike's Real Estate Portfolio!

mayor bloomberg

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has added a new gem to his real estate jewels -- a $20 million Georgian-style mansion in the Hamptons that he is expected to close on shortly, reports the New York Post.

bloomberg The 35-acre estate known as Ballyshear abuts an exclusive golf course and at 22,000 square feet with 11 bedrooms and eight baths, should be plenty o' house for hizzoner. It also features one of those winding half-mile driveways that keeps the riff-raff at bay.

This is a house that comes with history, too. It was built in 1910 and designed by F. Burall Hoffman for Charles Blair MacDonald -- credited in the listing as being the father of modern golf course design. The ivy-covered brick house is surrounded by traditional English gardens designed by F. Olmstead Jr. and Rose Standish Nichols.

Of course we're not sure when the golf-loving mayor actually will find the time to use this latest property acquisition, given that he already owns homes on the Upper East Side, London, Vail, and Bermuda. But we do admire his taste in houses.

He earned his money the good old fashioned way......he worked for it!! He doesn't take a salary and does support charitable causes. He is free to spend his money any way he chooses, and he has not touted his house on AOL...Instead the paparazzi and people with no lives of their own are publicizing it! And for those who made vicious comments about his cultural ethnicity, I have no words!

He might have made his money pryor to being Mayor but now that he has so much to spend and donate why doesn't the mayor's take a cut in pay to save the economy and leave the elderly on SSI alone...
I know you definetly can not purchase a home like that with SSI payments that us tax payers paid in...
Give me a break you expect the elderly to feel sorry for someone that can spend so much for something that is really not a necessity to life. Where as some of us our SSI checks are our way of living....If he has so much let him donate money to every elderly person being pushed out of there homes due to no checks......

I thought that he is paid $1.00 annually, he does not take a pay check from NYC. He needs to fire the woman who is running the Animal Control shelter though. She is mudereing animals that have sponsors , adopters and homes to go to. Just gassing them all everyday. Will not allow rescue volunteers, it is just a hell hole of death! He needs to do something about her before the story really breaks wide open.

By the way, I hope that most of you folks realize that while the Democrat politicians are quick to point fingers at the evil rich Republicans, if you take a look at the Congressional Millionaire's Club, you'll see that the Democrats outnumber the Republicans. Think about that the next time these Liberal Loons run their collective mouths about "taxing the rich." Do you starry eyed Kool Aid swillers really think that they will levy additional taxes on themselves? If so, ask Bloomberg to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge. They tax the working folks, not the rich. After all, Pelosi stated that they were going after the 401K plans. Do any of you folks seriously think that the rich are dependent upon 401K plans? If so, I'll make you a deal on the Manhattan Bridge.

Mayor Bloomberg. The clown who is fanatical about disarming law abiding American citizens. Does anyone wonder just how much security and the cost of the same goes for the protection of this self serving, sanctimonious, holier than thou hypocrite; well shielded from the realities of we who have no Ivory Towers, no high tech. beyond the price of common folks, security systems and no armed bodyguards. Just one more of many elitists whose personal opinion is that wealth and power somehow makes them so very much more important than the peasants who keep them in office and whose lives, therefore, are worth a great deal more. May his latest Real Estate become the facility for bands of roving dogs in desperate need of fire hydrants and maybe with just a little luck they will also urinate on his legs.
