'Homer Simpson' on the Move

You probably don't know the name of Dan Castellaneta but you surely know his voice. He's Homer Simpson, and he recently sold one house for $5.5 million in the Pacific Palisades after buying another in April for $5.7 million in the same Los Angeles' Westside community.

D'oh, nobody ever said voice over work didn't pay well; there are reports that the voice actors on "The Simpsons" earn $300,000 per episode. Not to mention, "d'oh" was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2002. Castellaneta is a former member of Chicago's Second City.

The 411 on the house Castellaneta bought: A four-bedroom main house of 4,166 square feet on about a half-acre private lot. It's an architectural home with an open floor plan and custom finishing work. It has a one-bedroom guest house and pool.

The 411 on the house Castellaneta sold: A four-bedroom house of 4,415 square feet on a slightly smaller private lot. English Country-style home, restored with carved beams, leaded windows, and architect Gerard Cocord's signature period archways throughout. It also has a detached studio and pool.

Just like some people change shoes, do others change houses? We wonder what Homer would say about that, besides d'oh.
