Helen Mirren's Hollywood Hills House for Lease

Helen Mirren house The 66-year-old Helen Mirren may have a body that beat out J Lo's and Elle MacPherson's in an LA Fitness poll, but when it comes to being a landlord, she's stuck in the morass of the housing market just like everyone else.

Mirren is hoping to fetch $40,000 a month for her five-bedroom Mediterranean that has 6,699 square feet. The six-acre estate in the Hollywood Hills even has a bit of history: It once belonged to Dustin Farnum, Cecil B. DeMille's first great discovery.

There are views, terraces, a pool and a 2,700-square-foot guest cottage -- all behind double gates for security.

British-born Mirren and her husband, director Taylor Hackford, bought the home in 1986 and have been leasing it since at least 2007. The couple owns several other properties believed to be in Los Angeles, London, and the south of France. In 2007, Architectural Digest reported that they sold their home in New Orleans. Mirren won an Oscar that same year for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in "The Queen" and recently took the role of Phil Spector's defense attorney in an HBO movie about the music producer's murder trial.
