Surely "Lizzie McGuire" star Hillary Duff appreciates the value of a sequel. So let's consider her listing of a Toluca Lake home -- again -- a sequel. And hopefully it will do better at the box office than the first time she tried.
The 9,277-square-foot Spanish-style Mediterranean re-entered the market at $6.250 million, down from a 2010 listing price of $7 million. The six-bedroom gated home fronts Toluca Lake, which the listing agent describes as "prestigious." For the uninitiated, it's a cement-bottomed body of water in the Los Angeles area that's about six acres big and maintained by the homeowners' whose properties front it and the Lakeside Golf Club.
The house is lovely enough with great outdoor rooms surrounding a pool and spa; a cognac room, wine cellar, gift-wrapping room, and chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. The custom master suite includes dual bathrooms with heated floors and original stonework.
Most of the flooring throughout the home is antique French oak, worth drooling over. There are cathedral ceilings, triple-stacked deep-base moldings and black marble countertops.
Public records indicate that the actress (pictured above with her husband, National Hockey League star Mike Comrie) bought the property in 2004 for $3.5 million. She relocated to a Beverly Hills home and just announced that she is expecting her first child.
Drew Fenton and Justin Paul Huchel, both of Hilton & Hyland Realty in Beverly Hills have the listing, according to the MLS.
