Matthew Perry has undoubtedly become his Realtor's BFF. The actor buys, lists, lists some more, and in general has been having a fine old time playing real-life Monopoly. In a housing market that's been on life support for the past two years, Perry is a Realtor's dream come true. And even better for his agent, every time the actor sneezes near the MLS, celebrity real estate writers dutifully report it so there's all this nice free publicity for the transaction.
So here we go again: The star of "Friends" and beyond has put his 3,677-square-foot ocean-view Malibu home on the market at $13.5 million. Public records show he paid $6.5 million for it in 2005, which of course was another realty universe ago. The home has four bedrooms and six baths and sits on 2.3 acres in the guard-gated Serra Retreat . While not beachfront, Serra Retreat is home to Mel Gibson's Lavender Hill Farm estate, still on the market -- now priced at $11.75 million.
In August, Perry closed escrow on a $8.65 million house in the Hollywood Hills. In July, he listed his 22nd-floor Sierra Towers condo in West Hollywood for $2,995,000. He still owns homes in Studio City and other parts of Los Angeles that could come into play.
The Malibu listing is held by Greg Holcomb of The Partners Trust, who appears to handle all of Perry's transactions, and we suspect is one happy man.
