
As of last week, the median price for a home in the United States was hovering just around $200,000. Depending on where you live, that'll buy you a 5-bed, 4-bath with a sweeping central staircase (Las Vegas -- pictured above), a lakefront house with a pool (Orlando), or a handcrafted cabin in the mountains (Colorado Springs).
At least those are the homes people would buy if they had their druthers. How do we know?
