For Alec Baldwin, an intense, virtual game of "Words With Friends" turned into a real-live war of words with American Airlines after the wry actor was kicked off a flight prior to takeoff in Los Angeles.
The incident prompted American Airlines to release an official statement, which in turn prompted Baldwin to take his plight to Twitter. Then, with his ties to NBC, Baldwin upped the ante last weekend by mocking the entire situation on "Saturday Night Live," appearing as "Capt. Steve Rogers."
Although his "Words With Friends" game didn't end well, Baldwin has fared better in the real estate game by recently selling his Central Park West apartment.
The "30 Rock" star's home, which hit the Manhattan real estate market in August, was listed for $9.5 million and, according to Haute Living, was sold for the full asking price.
The 3,000 square foot three-bedroom, three-bath home occupies the entire 22nd floor of the El Dorado building and features park views from each bedroom. Baldwin's home boasts details like a wood-burning fireplace and elegant crown moldings. In addition to the en suite bedrooms, two of which include park views, Baldwin's place includes a paneled library, formal dining room and newly renovated kitchen.
Perhaps Baldwin can give some home-selling tips to his new friend, Zynga founder (and "Words With Friends" creator) Mark Pincus, who recently listed both of his homes on the San Francisco real estate market.
Meanwhile, the ever-amusing Mr. Baldwin has taken up residence at his new pad in the Devonshire House in the trendy Greenwich Village real estate market.
