Home Prices Fall for 4th Straight Month


home pricesHome prices nationwide fell 4.3 percent year-over-year in the month of November, according to analytics firm CoreLogic in its November Home Price Index.

Santa Ana, Calif.-based CoreLogic said home prices declined 1.4 percent from October to November, making it the fourth consecutive monthly decline.

When excluding distressed home sales, prices year-over-year fell only 0.6 percent, compared to 1.6 percent in October. Distressed sales include all short sales and REO deals.
