Jim Carrey's Malibu Beach House Lists for $13.95 Million

Maybe it's the rising temperature that's got all our favorite celebs in a home-selling frenzy. This time it's Hollywood funnyman Jim Carrey, who's throwing his stunning Malibu contemporary on the market for a not-so-laughable $13.95 million.

We don't know why he'd ever want to sell this sweet piece of real estate, but our guess is that he'll be making a pretty penny on the home if it sells at list price. Apparently, the "Liar Liar" star snagged it in 2002 for a significantly cheaper $9.7 million.

Rumor has it that Carrey's been hunting for a bachelor pad on the other side of the country, checking out a swanky townhouse in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood that's selling for about the same as his Malibu price.

And though we love the Empire State, nothing beats a million-dollar Malibu view! Carrey's contemporary boasts an expansive rooftop deck with a hot tub and mood lights, offering gorgeous sunset and surf views. Inside, you get five spacious bedrooms, 5½ bathrooms and generous, museum-like living spaces sprawled across 2,866 square feet.

Carrey's pad joins a slew of other celebrity homes on the market, including "Dexter" star Michael C. Hall's Los Angeles pad, Gianni Versace's former Miami palace, Chris Brown's WeHo bachelor pad, Michael Jackson's California chateau, Beatle George Harrison's Swiss manor and Amy Winehouse's London apartment. Whew!
