The most expensive condo to ever be listed for sale in Utah is offered at $17.99 million. Don't have $17.99 million? Well, sell some pizzas! That's how Papa John's founder John Schnatter amassed the wads of cash it took to purchase the entire top floor of the exclusive St. Regis Deer Valley building.
Schnatter (right) has listed both units that make up the top floor, but according to the Deseret News, he will keep which ever of the two that doesn't sell first. The furnished unit, No. 1102, is the eye-popping piece de resistance that spans 6,829 square feet and is loaded with more special toppings than any Papa John's pizza. In addition to a private elevator, a custom ski preparation room and a media/game room, the 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom unit is decked with custom finishes.
There is also 2,000 square feet of outdoor space that amplifies the condo's views of Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts. And let's not forget the wine room, the wet bar, the large jacuzzi and the gourmet kitchen. The Deseret News reports that Schnatter bought both 11th-floor units as an investment in 2008 but only put money into transforming one of them; the second unit is unfinished and listed for $12.5 million.
