BusinessWeek.com selected towns that are home to long-established, top-quality colleges and universities, and asked New York City-based OnBoard to find out how these real estate markets performed in 2007 vs. 2006. Comparing college towns to their respective states in terms of annual median home price appreciation, 17 out of 25 college markets outperformed, four markets performed as well, and only four towns underperformed.
