Shrinking Cities

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, these 10 U.S. cities lost more than 5 percent of their population over the past eight years. The city with the greatest decrease (35.5 percent) was New Orleans (pictured), but the Crescent City is bouncing back, gaining 8 percent in the most recent year.

Ohio has the most cities on this list with three, but the only region not featured was the West Coast.
